BTe. V • Started to work on the G 4 implementation about 6 months ago, with the Silicon Strip sub-detector geometry and a prototype of a BTe. V/G 4 core ``framework” • Pixel geometry implemented: two versions - one simple, one more complete. Ecal also implemented. Straws in progress… • BTe. V plans to finish the implementation of other sub-detectors in the coming ~ 6 to 9 months • Long term: BTe. V will rely on G 4 for its accurate simulations. Geant 4 in further HEP applications - M. Apologies/Comments • I’ve attempted to introduce the use of Geant 4 in current and future high energy and nuclear physics experiments all over the world other than for the LHC, which were seen in A. de Roeck’s talk. • Given Geant 4 is now being used quite widely and intensively, – It is obviously impossible to identify everything. – It is obviously impossible to introduce everything in 30 minutes. • I know immense amount of excellent applications are missing from my short introduction presentation. My apologies to the users I couldn’t introduce. • Also, I’m not representing any of the experiments I introduced in previous slides. – Some slides are not up-to-date. – If you have detailed questions about these applications, please contact to them. • I showed only the eye-catching pictures, but more important were discussions exchanged behind them. – It must be stressed that, without most fruitful discussions with users, Geant 4 couldn’t have reached this far, and cannot go much further.
