Training Course Overview n Training consists of sessions that are delivered in a group setting to meet the specific needs of our organization. Each session is self-contained and designed to provide optimal learning of a particular function. The sessions provide an explanation of key functions and the detailed information and skill required using a specific function. Hands on activities are used throughout the sessions to reinforce the concepts taught and to familiarize participant.

Registration / Insurance Verification n This class introduces participants to the GE Centricity system

Registration / Insurance Verification n This class introduces participants to the GE Centricity system as well as to Revenue Cycle, GE terminology, keyboard functions, registration, and insurance process, eligibility, and case. Class incorporates hands-on training. This class is mandatory for ALL new hires. Duration: Two and 1/2 -Days Prerequisites: Familiarity with the concepts and practices of physicians

EWS- Enterprise Wide Scheduling n This session will enable participants to schedule appointments using

EWS- Enterprise Wide Scheduling n This session will enable participants to schedule appointments using different search methods. They will also learn to, cancel, and reschedule appointments. The session also teaches and introduces participants about Advance Access Scheduling (Threshold Indictor), Wait List, Bump List, Appointment Settings, Provider Settings, Sched Reports, and Form Letter Processing. Participants will be trained on how to view schedules, print schedules and encounter forms. Hands on activities are used throughout the sessions to reinforce the concepts taught. Duration: One and 1/2 -Day Prerequisites: Registration/Insurance Verification Training

Open Referrals n In this session users will learn the distinction of referrals. Understanding and managing referrals within the organization is key. Users will be introduced to three types of referral, Internal, External/Incoming, and External/Outgoing referrals as well as hands on training on creating, editing, linking and unlinking referrals. Duration 3 -4 Hours Prerequisites: Registration Insurance Verification, & EWS-Scheduling

TES 101 Charge Entry This class introduces participants to Charge Capture procedures, and the Transaction Editing System (TES) It incorporates hands-on training in procedures of charge functions such as; modifiers, referral authorization numbers, referring doctor, keying against visit (appointment) encounter id, and case. Participants will also lean balancing, batching and printing batch proof. Duration 3 -4 Hours Prerequisites: Registration/ Insurance Verification, EWS -Scheduling and Open Referrals

TES 201 Workfiles n The focus of this session provides participants with a clear

TES 201 Workfiles n The focus of this session provides participants with a clear understanding for resolving TES edits which were introduced in TES 101 Charge Entry session that were not able to be addressed real-time and have been placed into a TES Workfile. Participants will gain a strong understanding of Invoice Header Level edits as well as Transaction Level edits, and how to resolve them. Duration 3 -4 Hours Prerequisites: Registration/ Insurance Verification, EWS-Scheduling, Open Referrals, and TES 101 Charge Entry

Point of Service- Front Desk n This session incorporates all previous sessions (Reg, EWS, OR, and TES). Charge capture procedures are reintroduced with the DUCOM Missing Charge Report. Participants have hands on training in the Check In and Check Out process. This involves, arriving a patient, verifying demographic and insurance, posting co-pays, printing patient receipts, linking referrals, posting of charges and time of service payments. Participants will lean balancing, of the Cash Draw and printing of Tes Batch Proofs and batch proofs Duration One Day. Prerequisites: Registration/ Insurance Verification, EWS-Scheduling, Open Referrals, and TES 101 & TES 201

Charge Correction n Participants are introduced to invoice maintenance and how to resolve data

Charge Correction n Participants are introduced to invoice maintenance and how to resolve data entry error via the Bar Charge Entry function. Hands on training in, adding a charge, deleting a transaction, and, editing an existing invoice, . and performing a charge correction of an incorrectly billed invoice. Participants will have a clear understanding of when and when not to use the Charge Correction functionality. Balancing, Batching and printing batch proof will also be reinforced. Duration 3 -4 Hours Prerequisites: Registration/ Insurance Verification, TES 101 Charge Entry, TES 201 Workfiles

Post Receipts n During this session, participants will learn about the GE Centricity Business

Post Receipts n During this session, participants will learn about the GE Centricity Business Payment Posting Module. Participants complete the session with a clear understanding of the Payment Posting fundamentals. Hands on training in performing multiple types of payments such as: Standard (LIPP), Auto Cash , and Rejections and enter refunds into the system are taught. The performance of Batch maintenance is reinforced. Duration 3 -4 Hours Prerequisites: Registration/ Insurance Verification

A/R- Accounts Receivables n Individuals enrolled in this course will learn how to manage

A/R- Accounts Receivables n Individuals enrolled in this course will learn how to manage the patients account in the GE Centricity Practice Management system. It is within A/R management that participants understand learn how to navigate through BAR. Participants will understand learn how to transfer invoices from FSC to FSC, record all financial and general comments on an account, produce reports and ledgers for follow up activities. Participants also learn about the rejection process. re-bills, and patient statements. Duration 3 -4 Hours Prerequisites: Registration/ Insurance Verification, Post Receipts

Master Schedules n The understanding and maintenance of Master Schedules and Templates are key

Master Schedules n The understanding and maintenance of Master Schedules and Templates are key in this session. The session incorporates hands on training in creating Master Schedules, Templates, editing masters and dailies, setting of Thresholds, distributing schedules, and working conflicts This session also covers the printing of masters, templates, and Appt types; along with changing provider for multiple appointments, blocking and adding time to provider schedule. Duration 3 -4 Hours Prerequisites: Registration/ Insurance Verification, EWS-Scheduling
