New Constant Calibration New Constant Calibration. TM architecture – real time auto-calibration every 10 seconds for life of the meter Constant Calibration. TM architecture insures the best accuracy over temperature and time Designed with built-in, in real time circuitry that is checking and adjusting metrology to insure that metering accuracy is optimal under all circumstances Revenue accurate to 0. 06% for energy - typical accuracies much higher even at very light load and at. 5 rated PF ANSI C 12. 20 & IEC 62053 -22 CL 0. 2 rated and tested 75
Benefits of Constant Calibration • Accuracy over Temperature. Meters drift over temperature. Moreover, hysteresis in drift may compromise accuracy permanently and require the meter to be returned for re-calibration. GE’s Constant Calibration insures that normal drift caused by ambient temperature movement does not affect accuracy. • Accuracy over Time. Since the majority of components within the meter are being re-calibrated on a regular interval, the meter will hold accuracy longer than non-calibrating meters or meters that calibrate less often. • Better Stability and Out of Box Test Results. Components from new meters sometimes need up to 1000 hours to stabilize. Using Constant Calibration, the components will be recalibrated over the life of the meter resulting in high levels of measurement stability and consistency. • Less Maintenance / Lower Ownership Cost. Since the meter constantly calibrates, less downtime is required for calibration. 76

Communication Options hernet Ports Provide Secured Communications Over Two Separate Networks IEC 61850 Protocol server with Software Option B, C Primary Ethernet Port Provides 100 Base T RJ 45 Port • • • Secondary Ethernet Can be used as Redundant port or limited access port on different network and Each Port has Separate Mac Address and IP Address Each Port Communicates Modbus and DNP 3. 0 over Ethernet The Primary port can control the secondary port data access Multiple municipalities can securely share data from one meter through separate networks Perfect for redundant, high reliability applications Programmable web service capability - the web services for each port can be independently enabled or disabled 97
EPM 9900 P: Innovative security functionality for critical applications nhanced to meet security requirements • Digital Signature for Firmware Upload – The firmware processes the digital signature using a decryption and hashing algorithms. This insures that the meter only accepts new programming generated by GE. • Meter Firmware Startup - The meter upon startup uses an advanced decryption algorithm to decode the digital signature stored in the meter and compares the derived hashing result from the digital signature against the hashing results of the meter firmware. This is performed for all firmwares in the meter insuring the complete integrity of all firmwares running in the meters upon startup. • Profile Update Tamper Control – The meter will track not only updates to settings profiles but will also log what has been updated to look for specific changes to the default profile. • High Security Mode - The meter is also automatically locked into a high security mode which requires unconditional use of passwords and sealing switch which can not be disabled by the user. • Hardware Shutdown of Unused Ports – All ports that are not used can be disabled in programmable settings. • Live Integrity Verification - For verification a seed number is sent to the meter by a user and a unique hashing result is calculated by the meter firmware and the user can compare it against their expected results. • Clock Accuracy Verification - Pulse 1 on face of meter can be set to pulse at a 1 minute rate so that 100 clock accuracy can be verified.
