DT isn’t just about writing either you are able to learn different techniques and apply them in the workshop and is probably one of the most fun things in the school. There is also lots of different topics that are studied as well many different areas that you can specialise in during YR 10 & 11. Overall DT is just a banging subject. ” Josh… “If you don’t pick it or like it, I have no words. It was one of my favourite subjects and Miss Davies always helped. I learnt a lot and I really enjoyed it. ” Mantas… “Doing DT gives you a great knowledge about things all over the world and also practicing and using all the equipment/machines is very useful as you may need them further on in life. I would recommend picking DT as a subject because Miss Davies will make it a great experience. ” Anna… “DT was one of my favourite subjects as it allowed me to learn different skills with various machines, tools and materials. It was challenging at times but I was able to get through it and Miss Davies and Mr Brett are really supportive. I loved creating my chair and doing all the research, testing and experimenting to create it. I’ve learned so much and it will stay with me. DT also gave me the opportunity to grow my friendships and become closer with people. ” Anymore questions or want examples? Email me @ holly. davies@westbourne. attrust. org. uk
