Generic Portal Development Goals z. Users really want to submit codes. z. Most users already know how to create input files for their codes. z. We want provide a generic infrastructure for submitting any code. z. Infrastructure should be extendable for fancy interfaces to particular codes.

Code Selection Page z. Displays available applications and platforms. z. Display is dynamically generated from the Application Description XML data record.

Job Script Input z. JSP is used to create forms based on information in Appl. Disc. xml. z. Input from this page is used to create a job script for the selected platform’s queuing system.

Submit Job Page z. User reviews the generated job script. z. Script can be edited at this point.

Problem Archive z. User can select and edit any older problem.

Session Selection z. Problems are grouped into sessions. z. All sessions within the same problem currently use the same application z. All other options can be edited.
