L 4 Synoptic – progression rules • Apprentices “For EPA students, regardless if they are registered onto AQ or not, scheduling rules would not apply. To schedule an EPA Synoptic, apprentices need to have an active EPA Programme Reg and have been onprogramme for 12 months+1 day from their apprenticeship start date. If they meet that criteria they can be scheduled. ” • Non-Apprentices You would need to schedule outstanding assessments for a date prior to when you wanted them to sit the synoptic. The fact that the outstanding assessment(s) has been scheduled will then allow you to schedule the Synoptic for the date you want, which has to be later than the scheduled FS assessment. When the date of the scheduled FS assessment arrives it will ‘void’ when the student doesn’t sit it, this incurs no fee and is not counted as a ‘fail’. They can then sit the Synoptic on the date scheduled. They can then reschedule the other outstanding assessment(s).

L 2 Synoptic – Calculated Grade • For students who passed BKTN, BKCL, ELCO by 31/3 • At least one was passed in the 12 months leading up to 31/3 • Automatically given a calculated grade on 13/8 • £ 49 fee will be charged • UACS can be dealt with by Recognition of Prior Learning: • Xero certification • Sage qualification L 2 Synoptic available again after 13 th August

Apprenticeship Service • All non-levy employers should register • You can reserve funding for the current and up to two subsequent months • In June you can reserve funding for starts in June, July or August • In July you can reserve funding for starts in July, August or September • In August you can reserve funding for starts in August, September or October • You have the month of the start and two subsequent months to correctly complete and submit all paperwork • For starts in September all paperwork would need to be 100% complete by end of November
