GAMIT NG ASPEKTONG KONTEMPLATIBO 4) Kung ang pandiwa sa Ingles ay nasa anyong present progressive tense o ‘are you going to verb, ’ halimbawa, ‘are planning a trip, ’ ang tingin ng Pilipino sa aksyon, mangyayari pa lang sa hinaharap kaya kontemplatibo ang gagamitin niya; dahil hindi pa nangyayari ang aksyon. If the verb in English is present progresive form, for example are planning a trip, or are going to verb, a Filipino looks at the action as going to happen in a future time, ergo, the kontemplatibo is used.

GAMIT NG ASPEKTONG KONTEMPLATIBO 5) Ang Present Progressive ay kontemplatibo sa Filipino dahil hindi pa nangyayari ang askyon. The present progressive tense in English is kontemplatibo in Filipino because the action has not happened yet.

GAMIT NG ASPEKTONG KONTEMPLATIBO 6) Ang pandiwa sa Ingles na past progressive, halimbawa was/were going to do, ay kontemplatibo ang katumbas sa Filipino. Ginagamit ang kontemplatibo kasama ng Dapat sana (wish, hope, should be). The past progressive tense in English is kontemplatibo in Filipino because in expressing a wish, the action has not happened yet. Kontemplatibo is also used with Dapat Sana.

I was hoping to do the laundry when he arrived. • Akala ko alas dose ng tanghali darating ang eroplano. I thought the plane was arriving at 12 noon. • Akala ko aalis kayo bukas. I thought you were leaving tomorrow.

GAMIT NG ASPEKTONG KONTEMPLATIBO 7) Kung ang pangungusap sa Ingles ay “if verb present tense or present progressive tense, ” sa Filipino, kontemplatibo ang pandiwa dahil hindi pa nagaganap ang aksyon. If the English sentence is “if verb present tense or present progressive tense, ” the equivalent of the verb is kontemplatibo because the action has not happened yet.
