Greeting – 1: 1 -5 Paul, an apostle (not sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead), - Galatians 1: 1

and all the brethren who are with me, To the churches of Galatia: - Galatians 1: 2

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father. - Galatians 1: 3 -4

Paul says two things about Jesus: 1. He is Lord 2. Reviews Jesus’ work in producing our salvation

Salvation A. Jesus offers Himself B. His sacrifice enables our salvation C. Done according to God’s plan

to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen. - Galatians 1: 5

Amen = “AW-MANE”

Amen = Verily, Truly

Paul’s Usage It is a sure and trustworthy thing that: • Jesus died for sins – Amen • Jesus was resurrected – Amen • This was according to God’s plan – Amen • God deserves glory – Amen

To Say “Amen” in Church is: • Biblical • Respectful • Encouraging • Enthusiastic
