FULHAM FC & THE HIGHER SPORTS ACADEMY Fulham Football Club is pleased to announce the launch of a new International Player Development Programme in Valencia [Spain], in collaboration with The Higher Sports Academy, a company which has many years of experience in professional football and academy work.

SPF & THE HIGHER SPORTS ACADEMY Fulham Football Club & The Higher Sports Academy are delighted that SPF will be a key partner in the management and delivery of the new Fulham FC International Player Development Programme.

• The player development programme will operate from the start of August each year and run for 10 months [ending end of May each year] Programme Credentials • The programme is fully residential and will be based at Students Resort Mas Camarena Valencia, Spain. All residence, football activity and education will be on site. • There are 30 places available to students aged 16 -19 [Male] • In twelve months time we aim to add a degree option also, that will see players studying an online degree in football

Football Activities • All players / students will receive daily football training delivered by UEFA qualified coaches appointed by the club [Fulham FC], staff will be a mixture of English and Spanish coaches with experience of working within professional football, all staff will hold appropriate clearance to work with young people and vulnerable adults e. g. DBS check • Training will include - technical, tactical, strength and conditioning, cardio etc. and will follow the clubs player development pathway currently used in the clubs academy in The UK

Football Activities cont. . • There will be a weekly games programme including showcase games against leading clubs such as Levante UD, Valencia CF and Villerreal. • Players will also have the opportunity to be placed in a Spanish club to gain experience of adult football, depending on ability a player will be based in a club ranging from Div 5 - Div 2. Players will train with this club and also have the chance to represent the club in Spanish league fixtures again depending on ability and performance.

Education • In addition to daily football activity players / students will be engaged in daily study • All players will attend daily Spanish Language classes. • Players will also have an option to study a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport, this will be delivered via an online / blended model by a leading UK based education provider [This takes 2 years to complete] however if a player only opts for year on the programme they will leave with a BTEC qualification equal to 1. 5 A levels, subject to passing assessment • Players not choosing the BTEC pathway can also choose from a Spanish curriculum delivered by our Spanish partner school Mas Camarena who offer a bilingual curriculum with a broad subject offering • Alternatively players / students can choose from American High School studies delivered online and supported by Mas Camarena [This option may lead to a increase on price of £ 2, 000]
