FTKSim status V 12: news Space point (SP) problem seems worse: 10 single track events 7000 hits in 7 layers ~ 100 hits per layer w standard digitization We improve the definition of duplicated tracks: Let’s collapse two SP (as being the same SP) if within a distance of: 2 mrad for x coordinates (local ) 1. 5 mm for z coordinates This eliminate a great number of duplicated tracks Reduce only of 1% the total efficiency There are no effects on the parameter resolutions

Not use any clustering and use only clean up after TF. Processing time? Track resolution? Develop & include in FTKsim an FTK clustering algorithm thinking to the hardware implementation (DATA-FORMATTER in the next slide)? Inside the proposal: Which layers (& how many)? We know it is better to reject the central ones. Which is the impact on fakes and processing time? Which is the pattern bank (road) size ?

Measure again FTKSIM performances for: (a) Bs (done for V 10 -Francesco-Guido – redo it for V 12) (b) uu, bb jets from SM WH (done for V 10 -Meena-Guido – redo it for V 12) (c) taus ? (d) energetic u-b-jets? Supersymmetric Higgs at high masses? (e) other samples? Different samples could require different FTK features ! Taus or energetic b-jets can be more demanding than WH events ! Produce new Physics samples and simulate FTK !
