Students in Grades 6 -11 CANNOT score a 3 on Evidence and Elaboration without directly citing a source.

Teach students to do a hard return because it is more difficult to indent in computer based testing platform We are teaching academic writing Text evidence is WHAT is important; elaboration is WHY it is important Ex. “Ready-made clothing required buttons and zippers in clothes. ” Why: This is notable because these changes added quality and time to people’s lives as they no longer had to wait on a tailor to sew them into their clothes.
