Medayes: BMS Product Overview The product BMS is an enterprise Ad Scheduling and Billing software tailor made to the needs of broadcasters. It has various modules associated with respective departments involved in Ad-Scheduling, Log Making and Billing. It generates the final log as per the needs of the play-out systems which differs from client to client. The as-run log can be imported to generate the billing of the commercials played out. The system has an MIS system with comprehensive reporting and customised reporting. PROGRAMING : Programming Module takes care of Program master and segment creation. The base of this module is FPC management System which produces the Fixed Program Chart daily or advance basis. It also contains all the details of the Channel i. e. Program time slots, Movies for the month, all permanent and temporary program changes, all episode & sponsorship details of programs telecasted. It also generates all FPC related reports. Fs
Medayes: BMS Product Overview…. . continues Scheduling System: The Transmission log, which runs the channel, has to be generated and sent to transmission centre daily for all the channels. The log is the heart and soul of the channel operation. It contains second to second information of what events should run on the channel on the specified date. The system also generates all Scheduling related reports. Sales Administration System: The Sales Administration System records all Release Orders, Reschedules and Cancellations of commercial bookings. It also keeps track of all Client-Agency-Brand. Commercial linkages, various payment routes, and PTC NEWS Executive's link with Clients who are under their Zone etc. The system also generates all Commercial Bookings related reports. Billing System: The Billing system automatically matches all booked commercials with those that are actually telecasted and generates weekly billing with required audit. It also generates all reports required for billing, some of which are used to print on pre-printed billing stationary. Fs

Implementation Methodology Our Methodology is a structured and comprehensive one designed to enable a timely and successful implementation. It is tailored to both the industry and the software, to most efficiently step you through the implementation process. The Methodology is modular and is typically tailored to each client based on its business objectives and project needs. Fs
Implementation Methodology Fs
Implementation Methodology Business Analysis Before installing BMS software, a detailed study is done and reviewed to match the business requirements with the available software. Pre-implementation audit of all requirements is conducted, which locates and reconciles discrepancies between the actual requirement and the software before proceeding to the actual implementation Fs
Implementation Methodology Business Analysis steps to follow: Visit and Interact with Departments who are going to use the System. Operational distribution or deployment: Where will the system be used? What systems these departments are currently using if any? To collect and understand screen shot of input forms in these system. To collect and understand the source documents from which the input is captured. Reports/Outputs prepared by these System/Departments. What controls exist in the current system and what controls they would like the new system to have? What the critical operational parameters users would like to have to accomplish a smooth workflow post implementation? List perceived needs from the system by these stake holders. All Forms, Reports, MIS used by the stakeholders relevant to the system. Fs
Implementation Methodology Project Management Team Structure During the implementation of BMS, Futuregen Softwares maintains a onepoint interface with the Client. This interface is the Project Leader from Futuregen Software’s side (PL). Implementation Approach: Incremental Delivery model The BMS is delivered incrementally, Module by Module. The incremental Deliveries ensure that the Users start using the software very early during the implementation time and do not have to wait for the entire BMS to go live. The approach taken by Futuregen Software is an Output Driven Approach (Reports). Fs
Implementation Methodology Customization Requirements Capturing Customization in the planning and evaluation stage is very important factor for any successful implementation. PL (Project Leader) along with the CC (Client’s Central Coordinator) interacts with the functional department, end users and HOD before development team reacts to any changes in the software. The changes requested by the Users have to be approved and prioritized by the CC. Training Three level of Training is imparted v v v Top Management (MIS, Reports) Coordinators (In-depth knowledge of the product will be imparted. Input & Output) End User (Training of the module in which he has to work, will be imparted) Fs
Implementation Methodology Project Reviews and key documents Project Reviews: Projects are formally reviewed between the PL and CC (Client’s Central Coordinator) on a weekly basis. Minutes of meetings are maintained for all meetings. The PL reports to the Manager in Futuregen who is also the escalation route for the client. The Manager reviews the project twice (fortnightly) in a month. All reviews are minuted here. Documents: Futuregen Softwares maintains three main documents. Requirements Register: In this Requirements from Users are noted and are signed by the CC. On delivering the Requirements to User’s satisfaction, User/CC has to sign-off the delivery. Time sheets of Futuregen team: Engineer submits daily time sheets to the CC. This is to be signed by the CC. The PL sends these Time Sheets to his/her Manager Minutes of meetings : All Review meetings and Project meetings are minuted here Fs
Implementation Methodology Backups Importance: They are the only means of disaster recovery. Further, as Futuregen Softwares focuses on getting the Customer live on BMS, backups are of immense importance for the Customer. Methodology: Manual Backup: These are required to be taken at least twice in a week by the Futuregen Softwares Engineer (when onsite) according to a specified format which is available with the project team. Auto Backup: An auto backup is scheduled. Backup is schedule on the server and another hard drive. It is recommended that database backup is copied on any external device after every 10 days. Replication Process: This is achieved through an initial transfer of the specified data, after which the replicated copy is kept updated in nearly real time with any changes that are made to the data on the source computer. This replicated copy on the destination computer provides on-going, nearly-real-time disaster recovery protection for the source computer. Fs
Data Migration – A Step by Step Process Source System Exploration: The first phase of a data migration project is to identify and explore the source systems. Data Assessment: The next logical phase is to assess the quality of this source data Migration Design: In the migration design phase, the main tasks will be to define the technical architecture and design of the migration processes. Execution: After comprehensive testing, the time comes to run the migration Transition: At some point after the data has been migrated, we decide when to move to the new system and, where appropriate, retire the old system As part of the design process, a system retirement policy will be created to address the old system. During and After Implementation Support During Implementation Futuregen softwares team believes that a good support, quick response and coordination with end users can lead to a successful implementation. Our team responds immediately to any customer call. Our team ensures that the end users and other staff understand the project at all times. We believe support is the key for any successful implementation. Fs
During and After Implementation Support After Implementation Futuregen Softwares will provide unlimited remote support through remote login, email, phone and chat to the delivered system for six months after implementation. . after six months AMC will start. Free upgrades will be provided during AMC and If required before or during AMC period Futuregen Software’s engineer will visit the site Fs
