Why did Jesus choose Peter to be part of His Inner Circle? Because Peter was perfect? Hardly A Real Man, Nothing Fake A Man of Passion A Man of Action

“Nevertheless, at Your Word, I will let down my net. ” Luke 5: 5 And it came to pass, that the people pressed upon Him to hear the Word of God, He stood by the Lake Gennesaret and saw 2 ships standing by the lake, but the 2 fishermen were gone out of then and were washing their nets. And Jesus came and entered one of the ships, which was Simon’s and asked him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And He sat down & taught the people out of the ship. Now when Jesus left speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep & let down your nets for a draught. ” Simon answered said to Him, ; Master, we have toiled all night & have taken nothing. Nevertheless, AT YOUR WORD, I will let down my net. And when they had done this, they enclosed a great number of fish: their net broke.

7 -10 “And they beckoned to their partners which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. They came and fill both ships, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. ” And Jesus said to Simon, ‘ Fear not, from henceforth you shall catch men. ’ And they forsook all, and followed Him.
