Important dates - 1993 In 1993 the Statistical Commission during its 27 th session unanimously endorsed the System of National Accounts 1993 (1993 SNA). In the same year the United Nations Economic and Social Council in its resolution 1993/5 recommended that member States consider using the 1993 SNA as the international standard for compilation of their national accounts statistics and in the international reporting of comparable national accounting data.
