Why ECNi ? • ECN provided not enough contrast between the 9000 students • ECN rather appealed to memory than to medical reasoning and experimental learning • ECN required heavy logistical endeavour • ECN needed huge human resources 3

ECNi: A new exam modernised and digitized • Autocorrect multiple-choice / multiple-response questionnaires • 3 categories: – Gradual clinic cases (18 cases) – Isolated questions (120 questions) – Scientific article reviews (2 articles) • 5 half-days papers 4
