What to do to save in Open Office for later use in Word • Click on file – Save as • In the save as window: – Name your document – Then in the save as type frame select: » Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP » Then click save

You have now saved th e document in Word fo rm so it can be opened when you retu rn to school (in Word) or at home in Open Office.

Changing so files save to MS format • Open any star office program • Go to tools – Options – Go to Load/Save – General – Under default file format set up
