FREEDOM Demonstration Garden
Mission This garden will be an educational resource to be used by a variety of classes, clubs and community service. It will be dual-purpose: Edible Plant gardens Native California Plants We intend to give students an opportunity to learn about nutrition and sustainable agricultural practices. We also hope to inspire the community to develop ecofriendly landscaping and gardens for their homes.
Site Location
Native Garden Natives save money by requiring less water, very little fertilizer, and minimal maintenance. Natives can recreate natural ecosystems and are best adapted to the places we live. Natives give students a connection to our area. Natives create wildlife habitats for pollinators.
