The Living God ● And David said “. . . who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of living God. ” 1 Sam. 17: 26 ● Your servant has struck down lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 1 Sam. 17: 36
The Living God ● …”O Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions? ” Daniel 6: 20 ● I make a decree, that in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed… Daniel 6: 26
The Living God ●. . . the household of God, which is the Church of the living God, a pillar and support of the truth. 1 Tim. 3: 15 ● For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God who is the Savior of all people, especially those who believe. 1 Tim. 4: 10
The Gospel for a Broken World ● And Peter said repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins… Acts 2: 38 ● And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them saying, save yourself from this crooked generation. Acts 2: 40
Making Disciples ● So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. ● And they devoted themselves to the Apostles’ teaching, the fellowship and to the breaking of bread, and the prayers. Acts 2: 41, 42
Making Disciples ● And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, ● Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts
Meeting Together ● And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, ● Not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10: 24, 25
Meeting Together ● I hope to come to you soon, but I write these things to you so that, if I am delayed you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the pillar and support of the truth. 1 Timothy 3: 14, 15
Teaching the Scriptures ●. . . from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings which are able to make you wise, for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim 3: 15
Our Authority ● We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God without error in the original autographs and the final authority for all truth and practice.
Worship ●. . . the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me. ” 1 Corinthians 11: 23, 24
Worship ● For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11: 26
The Fellowship ● And all who believed were together and had all things in common. Acts 2: 44
The Prayers ● Therefore confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 1: 16
Join in Serving Him & His People ● For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God who is the Savior of all people, especially those who believe. 1 Tim. 4: 10
