• Many- many years ago our land didn’t belong to Russia and was populated by its native tribes, the Altaians. And one of them was our district. • The centre of the district, the village of • Krasnogorskoye, was founded in 1811 by Russian settlers from Kursk, Smolensk and the Ukraine.
