Frank Stella born 1936 He is a significant figure in Minimalism and post painterly-abstraction. Influenced by the work of Jackson Pollack. One of the most regarded postwar American painters who still works today. Frank Stella began to produce works which emphasized the picture-as-object, rather than the picture as a representation of something, be it something in the physical world, or something in the artist's emotional world.
Goal of the Project We are creating your own 3 -D abstract painting inspired by Frank Stella. The goal of this is to have a threedimensional painting not confined to a canvas, showing all 6 elements of Art. (in at least 6 shapes) In the Gallery, we will collaborate with all of the classes together to create one large Frank Stella 3 -D Painting.
