What is an architect? • An architect is someone who plans, designs, and helps decide how a building is going to look before it is built. • What are some famous buildings you know of? • What are they used for and how do they look different than other buildings?

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867 -1959) • Frank Lloyd Wright was a famous American architect

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867 -1959) • Frank Lloyd Wright was a famous American architect who had his own unique style. • He tried to design buildings that blended into the natural setting around them. • The shapes and patterns he chose helped the buildings blend in. • Wright designed 532 buildings across the United States, including several in Arizona. • Remember your school drawing activity from yesterday.
