Background • Research [1] – 56. 5% rate quality teaching good or excellent • Personal Experience – Breakdown of program-frequently cancelled – No input from junior doctors – Emphasis on statuary and mandatory training – No simulation or practical teaching
What we wanted to achieve • Weekly 90 minute protected, bleep free teaching sessions • Consistently high standard –MDT delivered teaching • Interesting and varied curriculum

Conclusions Organisation and involvement of foundation year doctors improves the content and running of the program Ongoing feedback and improvement is essential Widening curriculum and using novel sessions is important to diversify and improve content
