Reflection: Articulating Transformational Learning Equality vs Equity I used to think. . . That saying, I don’t care what you are, is good feedback to those that are in the LGBTQ+ community, or pertaining to a person’s nationality. Now I think. . . That, I don't care what you are, is very offensive to a lot of people, and it doesn't show my acknowledgement of their experience. I have learned. . . That if I say, I don't care what you are or You can be whatever you want to be, I don't care, isn't the term that should be used to let people know that it's okay for them to be or do what makes them happy. I should instead say, I accept you for who you are. I learned that I will acknowledge people and that I do care.
