WHAT IS A FOSSIL RECORD? The "fossil record" refers to the placement of fossils throughout the surface layers of the Earth. Older fossils are buried more deeply than younger ones. Scientists use the placement of fossils as a guide for determining when life forms existed, and how they evolved.

MY VISIT TO BOGGLE HOLE I went on holiday last year with my Nana and Mum to Boggle Hole. We spent the afternoon looking for fossils and I found 3 small fossils and 1 large fossil.
