Scope of Work (Reference MMFY 15 Project Manual for all general project requirements) (See photo sheets for scope location clarifications) 1. The exterior door caulking adjacent to the brownstone contains asbestos and will be removed by a licensed abatement contractor - the contract for this work will be held by the Owner. Contractor shall coordinate work schedule with Owner. 2. Contractor shall remove and discard Foss 9 & 10 double door leafs, hinges, closers and thresholds. 3. Contractor shall salvage existing card reader , activated electric latch, latch sensor and wiring on the Foss 9 doors. Reinstall on new mullion installed. Coordinate with ISG (Integrated Security Group), Mike Veronese, 888 -474 -3672, and new hardware to ensure compatibility and proper installation. 4. Salvage and reinstall existing electric strike and latch sensor at the Foss 9 doors. Provide new wiring as required. Installation shall be by ISG. Contractor to coordinate with ISG and Owner. 5. Salvage and reinstall existing weatherstripping at both entrances. 6. Contractor shall remove wood trim abutting brownstone walls, and perimeter wood jambs and head to accommodate the new steel frames. 7. Contractor shall repair, flash and install blocking at the west side jamb of the Foss 9 door and east side jamb of the Foss 10 door. Drypack with mortar to repair and replace deteriorated and missing mortar against the brownstone. Flash and caulk for a watertight seal. 8. Rebuild wood trim against brownstone walls to trim out door. Provide blocking in cavity between brownstone and blocking for proper attachment of frames. 9. Contractor shall install new FRP doors, HM frames and hardware as identified. Prep openings and provide all required blocking and anchors to install new FRP doors and HM frames to replace the Foss 9 & 10 doors and frames. Prior to ordering doors, contractor shall field measure openings and submit shop drawings for final review and approval. 10. Repair existing concrete step at Foss 10 with concrete repair mortar. 11. Flash patch as required after thresholds are removed to repair concrete and provide a level and even surface for the new doors & thresholds. 12. Upon completion of installation, caulk interior and exterior perimeter of new frames installed. 13. Prep, prime and paint interior and exterior ; new FRP doors, HM frames and wood trim on this elevation. Paint shall match existing interior and exterior colors. 14. Contractor shall schedule door reinstallation with Summer Programs. Fire access must be maintained at all times. 15. Door removal and installation of new door must occur within the same day. Provide temporary panels to secure openings during the installation process. 16. Upon completion of the new door installations, ensure proper function of the card reader.
