ITU COP Partnership Proposal WSIS 14 th May 2012 • That the ITU COP joint brand promote FOSI GRID to the UN Member states and COP partners • That a joint two year MOU be signed • That the ITU help fund GRID • That the ITU resource GRID to be translated into the UN’s six official languages • That we publically launch in Dubai at the ITU Telecom World Conference in October 2012

ITU COP Partnership Proposal Next Steps • FOSI needs to secure 60 euros per annum (including 2012) to continue GRID • We need to get the support of the FOSI Board • We need to get the support of the ITU - including the Council Working Group • If there is agreement we need to enshrine this in an MOU • This should include a clear plan to fund, maintain, launch promote GRID

ITU COP Partnership Proposal The opportunity GRID can be the global resource of choice for family online safety. In partnership with FOSI the ITU can: • Deliver a single, uniquely collaborative online platform for the global multi-stakeholder community • For the first time effectively share and promote best practice • Give cultural context and sensitivity to online safety • Provide a trusted global data set from which to deliver the tools, guidance and resources to countries, communities and citizens so they can live safer and better digital lives.
