Season Information • Season Begins Monday, October 12 th • Practice 5 days a Week (FCHS Swim) – still working on details based on team numbers. • Meet schedule is still in development. • Practices will be held over holidays breaks Ø Monday-Wednesday of Thanksgiving Break Ø Holiday practice schedules will be sent out as soon as possible prior to the holiday break.

FCHS Practice Procedures • • Arrive at 5: 50 am for morning practices Enter and Exit pool from the rear doors Temperature will be checked, and participation questionnaire will be administered every day. Locker rooms and showers are closed (bathroom available only) Face masks are required up until time for water entry 5 swimmers per lane- we may be looking at a practice rotation No sharing of equipment – you will have to bring your own kickboard and pull buoy. We will be selling the used team equipment at a reduced rate. Fins are required this year

Junior Bulldogs Practice Info and Schedule Due to limited practice lanes and uncertainty of meets we are still working on how to managed the Junior Bulldog Team at time with our 6 th and 7 th graders. 8 th graders are considered JV and therefore will be included in the lineup for the season. Practice times are still being worked on.

Parent Expectations • VOLUNTEER!!! We are still working on the volunteer positions for the season. • Hold your athlete accountable • Support the team in fundraising • Promote a positive and supportive environment for your athlete Ø Promote a healthy diet Ø MAKE THEM GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING!

Transportation • Transportation will be provided to EVERY meet outside of the county and

Transportation • Transportation will be provided to EVERY meet outside of the county and all athletes are REQUIRED to ride the bus to the meet. • Transportation will be provided for meets that will occur after school. • Transportation will be provided M/W for afternoon practice as a drop off (FCHS only). • NO non-family students may ride together in cars (FCSS policy)

Attendance • Athletes are expected to be at every practice as is scheduled. •

Attendance • Athletes are expected to be at every practice as is scheduled. • Attendance does effect lettering – this will be outlined in the handbook • Special circumstances will be addressed directly with Coach Bell • Absences from practice must be directly communicated to Coach Bell … NOT through another swimmer • Meet Attendance: Ø Ø Required. Failure to show up at a meet can result in immediate dismissal from the team Ample notice must be given to Coach Bell if you are not able to attend the meet This is outlined in the handbook Club Swimmers will be asked to attend at times to work relay starts with their teammates. Weekly attendance sheets can be found on the team website. They must be turned in to the coaches after the completion of a week.

Volunteers Each FCHS & Jr Bulldog Family is required to commit to three volunteering

Volunteers Each FCHS & Jr Bulldog Family is required to commit to three volunteering positions (or fill a Chairperson role). • • The volunteer program is managed by a volunteer, so please be sure of your volunteer dates before committing. If you are unable to keep your commitment, you are responsible for finding a replacement. The Meet Official will stop the meet if we do not have enough volunteers. Please check in at the assigned time and do not leave your spot unfilled. Examples of meet volunteering: Timers, Deck Control, Floaters, Hospitality

Booster Fees Swim Only – $500 Junior Bulldogs - $300 Dive Only – $400 Manager - $200 Swim and Dive - $550 • FCHS - Registration opens September 14 th and must be registered BY SEPTEMBER 30 TH in order to get team gear. • Fees are due by the first day of practice. • There will be a refund policy if the season is canceled due to Covid -19. For FCHS - Swim $100 and Dive $75 will be refunded for each month canceled prior to the first practice day of the month. After January 4, 2020 no refunds. We are still working on the Junior Bulldogs refund policy – but it will be less.

Registration – Online Only Parents and Athletes must register online this year. What to do: • Registration & Payment – Opens September 14 th. We will have a virtual link available for one night to assist with registration. We will also provide some online tutorials. We still accept cash, check, Pay. Pal & credit cards. • Team Gear Sizing – A-Team will have sizing options at their store. Team gear will have an online link – if you do not select sizes at registration then a size will be selected for you. • Team Suit Sizing - The team suit is not included in the Registration Fee, a separate cost applies. Our supplier, All American Swim, will have sample suits at their store in Roswell if you need to ensure the proper size. You will need to contact the vendor directly. • Other Team Equipment - can be purchased from All American Swim or another swim vendor. (Kick boards, pull buoys, fins, goggles, etc. )

All athletes are asked to attend OR make arrangements with Coach Asheley to complete their swim on another date. • Sponsorships – Athletes will receive a credit towards their team fees for 50% of the amount raised with each Sponsorships. Please see Allen Jacks following this meeting for Sponsorship Forms. • Chili’s Night Out – Sept 1 and other dates TBD

Serve Selflessly • • Boxes of Love – Every year we participate in giving to Boxes of Love. This is food and other necessary items given to Central families in need. Our collection date is December 11 th, 2020. Special Olympic Swim Team –In the spring your athlete can volunteer to help coach these wonderful kids! Scholarship – A portion of our funds raised at the swim-a-thon will be used to provide this opportunity for one of our graduating seniors. Miracle League – waiting on the Fall schedule

Senior Swim and Dive College Scholarship Opportunity FCHS Swim & Dive Boosters hope to be able to offer a college scholarship of $1, 000 to a graduating Senior. This award would go to a member of the swim and dive program who has completed the following requirements: 1. 2. 3. A member of the FCHS Swim & Dive program for at least three years Actively participated in our Serve Selflessly Events, Fundraising events, and Team Bonding activities. Essay submission describing what swimming/diving and our team has meant to them. Winner will be awarded at the May Scholarship Night
