In the Los Angeles Times article, “Appeals Court Rules Unconstitutional a Nevada School’s Uniform, ” the author discusses a lawsuit in which a mother is protesting that her child’s right to free speech has been violated because the school has incorporated its logo, “Tomorrow’s Leaders” on the shirt. She believes her student should not be forced to display someone else’s philosophy. Oddly, the mother, who is also a lawyer, argues that when the school requires students to wear a motto about leadership, they are forcing them to be “standard, uniformed thinkers” and not “independent, creative thinkers”. Isn’t it a common belief that independent and creative thinkers become “tomorrow’s leaders”? In the article, “Appeals Court Rules Unconstitutional a Nevada School’s Uniform” by Los Angeles Times explains that this mom is suing the school cause her kid HAS 2 wear a uniform that says, “Tomorrow’s Leaders”. It’s like she doesn’t want her kid to become a leader! Crazy, right? I guess she wants her kid to be a follower!!!!!! And she thinks her kid shouldn’t have to say something he or she d So the weird part is is that the mom don’t like the logo. Here is a quote. The quote she says is that kids should be independent, creative thinkers—not standard, uniformed thinkers. ” That totally doesn’t make sense. Leaders ARE creative and independent…U think? !? !?
