FORENSIC Work Plan 2020 - 2021
Description ■ Is an English Oratory team, where the members, students from 9 th up to 12 th grade, interpret and perform texts, be it literary or expository. ■ The team members are divided into 4 categories: Oratory, Drama, Comedy, and Original. ■ The school’s team is part of the English Forensic League of Puerto Rico. The school competes in an annual competition dated in the second semester of an academic year.
Purpose ■ It shall be the purpose of Forensic, through participation in the interscholastic competition in public speaking and in the dramatic arts, to prepare the students in the mechanics of the English language, as well as promoting a wholesome spirit of competition.

Goals 2020 - 2021 ■ Complete the team ■ Participate in this year’s league competition ■ Make the team more recognizable in school and gain support ■ Reach Division B ■ Develop a sense of belonging and commitment within the team. ■ Develop leaders to give a good example within the school community. ■ Help the students to overcome their inner restrictions and insecurities along the way.
Activities ■ Up to Aug. 28, 2020 to send video of audition ■ Virtual Foratoria Workshop on Sep. 5 th ■ Virtual Practices: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 -5 pm (online) ■ Video Evaluation Rounds ■ Foratoria Pre-Intensive 1 on October 17 th ■ Foratoria Pre-Intensive 2 on January 9 th ■ Forensic Intensive and Competition Date are PENDING
2019 -2020 Accomplishment ■ Virtual “Bye Seniors” (Senior farewell activity)
Other Announcements ■ Competition date and other league affairs are pending. ■ The membership fee for all competing schools will be honored for the 2020 -2021 competition. ■ All schools will remain in their corresponding division and the host schools remain the same for the 2020 -2021 competition year. The Host schools (Adianez, St. Marys, American Miliary Academy, and Thomas Alva Edison) will also remain in their role for the upcoming competition year. ■ The T-shirt’s ordered by the schools will be delivered to the schools in the First Yearly Meeting of the 2020 -2021.
