Foreign Languages Department Foreign Language Department was established in 2000. The department’s history is inextricably linked with the university and its activity. From 2001 to 2016, Professor Isabekova B. A. led the department. Her name is associated with many years of fruitful activity of the department: updating the methodological support of the educational process, raising the teaching of foreign languages to the highest modern level. Since 2016, the KSNU graduate, candidate of pedagogical sciences Biynazarova N. S. has headed the department. The teaching staff is of 15 teachers. Foreign Languages Department teaches three languages: English, German, and French. Teachers of the department : Biynazarova N. S. , Isabekova B. A. , Karaeva J. K. , Aidyralieva G. M. , Aminova B. During these years, department’s teachers not only conducted educational and methodological work, but also contributed to the work of the university. Over the years , the teaching has increased , which is associated with the development of the university , an increase in student enrollment , the emergence of new disciplines , structural units, new faculties. The tasks set for the teachers of the department have changed , the teaching methodology is the main emphasis on communication in foreign languages , the development of communicative competence , language use on a daily and professional level. These are all necessary at the present stage of international cooperation and communication. Various technical means are used during the classes. Teachers develop and use intensive teaching methods of the Oxford program. The leading position is given to modern methods of teaching foreign languages using multimedia equipment and Internet recourses. Modern educational and communicative technologies are widely implemented into academic teaching. Teachers and students have at their disposal one language laboratory, video and audio equipment, all rooms are equipped with latest technologies. Foreign Language Department held regularly educational and recreational activities.

Among them are annual events : Thanksgiving Day , American song contest , Christmas , Francophonie , round-table discussions, The English language competition , etc. All these activities are aimed to creating tolerant consciousness and behavior among young generation and acceptance of cultural diver city, cultivating respect for cultural values. Teaching staff of foreign languages department pay great attention to improving their qualifications at methodological seminars, scientific conference. They undergo internship abroad; publish textbooks and teaching aids for improving foreign language teaching methodology. Every year, teachers attend trainings and master classes conducted by Lingua School, Webinar Forum, DAAD, Oxford Press Academia, Ednet, Academy of Education, the Goethe Institute, the Embassy of France, and the US Embassy. Our teachers conduct seminars in the forum of English teachers and with the support of the US and France Embassies. Foreign language teachers were awarded with diplomas, Honor certifications of KEU, Ministry of Education and the Government KR.
