The food Pyramid • It shows us different groups of food. • What shall I eat every day to have a healthy diet? • It’s good to eat a lot of food from the bottom of the Pyramid such as bread, rice, and pasta. You get carbohydrates from them.
You shouldn’t eat too much/many • • Chocolate Sweets Fat Oil • In group A, at the top of the pyramid.
Group D and E • Fruit and vegetables are very important for your health because they contain vitamins and minerals.
Group B and C • You get proteins from meat, fruit and eggs and they make you strong.
Is your diet healthy? • The pyramid gives you an idea about the quantity of food you should eat every day. • Every person has a different body and the quantity can vary. It’s good to eat a balanced of the different groups.
Anita • I eat a lot of chips, bread, pasta, pizza, biscuits, ice-cream and rice. • I don’t eat much; fruit or many cakes and vegetables. • I don’t eat any: fish, honey and jam. • I don’t have a healthy diet, because I don’t eat many vegetables, much fish and fruit too. They contain vitamins for energy for my growth But I love pasta, rice and pizza!!! • I eat some ice-cream and biscuits too. They are not healthy.
Samuele • I eat a lot of: • I don’t eat much fish, cheese and jam • Chicken, hamburgers, • Tomatoes, chips and • I don’t eat many bananas, apples • I don’t eat any carrots, eggs and honey.
Samuele • I haven’t a very healthy diet. I don’t eat fruit and vegetables but I eat a lot of meat, chocolate and biscuits. • I have a sweet tooth.
Our class 2 F • We eat a lot of pizza, pasta, lasagne, fish, hamburgers, meat and fruit. • We don't eat much vegetables and bread. • We like cheese, but we don't like cauliflowers. • We like sweets and cakes. • Our diet is quite healthy for us
