MODULE 1 YOU AS A ROAD USER LICENCES Driver licencing requirements Road use Food Delivery Work – a guide Balancing roles & wellbeing • Current and valid licences are required for both motorbike riders and car drivers in Victoria • When using your overseas licence to drive in Victoria, all the Victorian road rules and laws apply to you • If your overseas licence is in a language other than English, you also need to carry an English translation or International Driving Permit whenever you drive • Your international licence is valid for 6 months and to continue driving you must convert it to a Victorian licence (check with Vic. MODULE 1 YOU AS A ROAD USER CRASHES In case of a crash If you are involved in a crash you must: Road use Food Delivery Work – a guide Balancing roles & wellbeing Personal safety Work rights & responsibilities • Stop immediately • Give help to any injured person • Provide your name, address, registration number, and vehicle owner’s name to others involved in the crash, or their representative, and to the police (if they attend) • AND the other party MUST also provide the same to you! • If anyone is injured and the police are not at the crash, you must report the crash to the nearest open police station • If there is any property damage and the owner or Police are not there, you must report the crash to the nearest open police station FOOD DELIVERY WORK – A GUIDE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

MODULE 1 YOU AS A ROAD USER Road use PARKING RULES What do signs mean? Check them carefully! Parking possible and specifies time period (eg: 1 hour) If ‘meter’ is mentioned this means payment is required If there is a 'no stopping' sign, you are not allowed to stop or park your car in, or partly in, that area for any reason. Dropping off or picking up passengers or goods in a ‘no stopping’ area is not permitted FOOD DELIVERY WORK – A GUIDE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Food Delivery Work – a guide Balancing roles & wellbeing If there is a 'no parking' sign, you can stop for 2 minutes in that area: if you are picking up or dropping off passengers or goods you must stay within 3 metres of your vehicle If you stop in, or partly in, an area showing a no parking sign and you are not picking up or dropping off passengers or goods, you are considered to be parked and can be fined.
