Spanish Food These are just a small selection of the food that is eaten in Spain.

Gazpacho is a cold tomatobased soup and is a speciality of Andalucía. Albondigas Spanish meatballs seasoned with herbs.

Paella is a typical Spanish dish. It is normally made using shellfish but can also be made with chicken or rabbit. Calamares Crisp, flour-coated squid rings that are fried in hot oil.

Portuguese Food These are just a small selection of the food that is eaten in Portugal.

Bacalhau is the Portuguese name for salt cod. It is a very popular fish in Portugal, so much so that they say they have a different bacalhau recipe for each day. Caldeirada is a typical Portuguese stew consisting of a large variety of fish, and sometimes shellfish, with potato, tomatoes and onion.

Arroz Doce or Arroz de Leite (Portuguese rice pudding) with milk, cinnamon and lemon Queijadas These cupcake-like egg and milk pastries are lightly sweet.
