The Character of Sinners § Eph 4: 17 -19 – This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

The Character of a Christian § Eph 5: 1 -2 – Therefore be followers of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love – The basis of God’s character: 1 John 4: 16 – To do what is in the best interest of others. – One who is “born again” into the family of God will have His character: Jn 3: 3 -5

The Character of a Christian § Eph 5: 1 -2 – Therefore be followers of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us – When we learn to LOVE as He LOVED, then we can begin to LIVE as He LIVED.

The Character of a Christian § Eph 5: 1 -2 – Therefore be followers of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us – He endured hostility from sinners: Heb 12: 3 – He laid down His life for friends: Jn 5: 9 -14 – To DIE for someone means that you will also LIVE for the welfare of that person.

The Character of a Christian § Eph 5: 1 -2 – Therefore be followers of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. – He wants LIVE sacrifices today: Rom 12: 1 -2 – We will be a sweet-smelling aroma when we make the sacrifices He commands.
