FLU CLINICS Due to Covid 19 and the importance of social distancing, arrangements have been made to run our flu clinics from Cornelly Community Centre on Wednesdays (between 11: 30 am and 3: 30 pm) and at our branch surgery in Kenfig Hill on Friday afternoons. There is full wheelchair access at both venues. These arrangements have been made so that we can operate a one-way system to ensure that social distancing can be maintained, thus reducing the risk to our patients and staff. Please note that we will be unable to offer flu clinic appointments outside of these clinics. Our plan is to invite patients in the following order: During September 2020 Care Homes residents and staff End of September and October 2020 Patients 65 years old and over October Half Term (between 26 th -30 th October 2020) 2 and 3 Year olds (nasal flu) (born between 1 st September 2016 and 31 st August 2018) End of October and November 2020 Patients under 65 years old and at risk* End of November and December 2020 Patients aged between 60 – 64 years old Early January 2021 Patients aged between 55 – 59 years old Mid-January 2021 Patients aged between 50 - 54 years old

* Patients who - are carers - have diabetes - have asthma - have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease - have Chronic Heart Disease - are pregnant - are immuno supressed - have suffered a stroke For the smooth running of these clinics and to ensure we maintain social distancing, please follow the guidelines below: - Arrive at your appointment time (please do not arrive early as we have to limit the number of patients within the surgery at any one time) - Wear appropriate clothing (where possible short sleeves and remove coats in readiness to see the doctor/nurse) - Wear a face mask Please note that during flu clinics, we will only be providing flu vaccines. We will not be able to take blood pressure, administer any other vaccines or deal with any medical issues. We very much appreciate your support during this time. For your safety, please be considerate towards other patients and our staff who will be available to assist you.

Appointments are now available for patients aged 65 and over and nasal flu appointments for those aged 2 and 3 years old. Please telephone reception to make an appointment.
