Long Term Disability- Unum • You choose your benefit amount of covered salary – 40% paid to Social Security Retirement/Reducing Benefit Duration – 60% paid to Social Security Retirement/Reducing Benefit Duration • You must be disabled for at least 180 days before benefits can be received
