WHAT IS FLORIDA KIDCARE? Florida Kid. Care is the umbrella brand for the four government-sponsored health insurance programs serving Florida children. The mission of Florida Kid. Care is to increase the number of insured children in Florida by offering completely free or low-cost quality health and dental insurance for children from birth through the end of age 18. The four programs within the Florida Kid. Care umbrella are included in the chart below. 2

ABOUT FLORIDA KIDCARE COST ● ● Most families pay nothing at all for coverage, and many families pay as little as 15 or $20 a month. Families who are not eligible for subsidized coverage may purchase Florida Kid. Care at the full-pay monthly premium. To qualify for Florida Kid. Care coverage, a child must be a U. S. citizen or lawfully-residing immigrant and meet all other eligibility requirements. Families can use the Eligibility Calculator to help estimate what a monthly premium payment might be for Florida Kid. Care coverage. COVERAGE ● ● With free year-round enrollment, the time to apply for Florida Kid. Care is always now. It’s easy for parents – fill out one application online, in person or over the phone and Florida Kid.
