Step 1: Submit Complete Application Package n n The online CG-10 Application Form at http: //www. fldoe. org/edcert/apply. asp Official transcript that shows degree conferral and Florida State-Approved Program completion statement Processing fee of $75. 00 per subject (Example: Elementary Education + ESOL Endorsement = $150) Passing FTCE Score Reports are automatically transmitted electronically to the Bureau of Educator Certification 2013 Florida Educator Certification 3
Step 2: Official Statement of Status of Eligibility (SOE) n n 2013 Bureau of Educator Certification’s official evaluation for a certificate Mailed to you at the address currently on file Valid for 3 years from date prepared Used to pursue employment as a Florida educator Florida Educator Certification 4
Step 3: Obtain Employment n n n Submit employment application to Florida school district/s where you would like to work Submit a copy of the SOE as part of your employment application When you are hired, the school district will submit a request to issue your certificate to the Bureau of Educator Certification 2013 Florida Educator Certification 5
Step 4: Submit Fingerprints n n n School district will take your fingerprints Fingerprints are submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Fingerprint reports are submitted to the Bureau of Educator Certification 2013 Florida Educator Certification 6
Step 4: Submit Fingerprints n n No Criminal History Record: Certificate is issued Criminal History Record: n n 2013 File is referred to Office of Professional Practices Services (PPS) PPS may request additional documentation If documents are not submitted within 90 days of request, application and SOE are voided and fee is forfeited PPS makes recommendation to Commissioner who makes final decision on issuing certificate Florida Educator Certification 7
