Parent Profile ◦ Monitor schoolwork, attendance, grades and attend teacher or counselor conferences when requested ◦ Partner with the AVID teacher or counselor in order to discuss any questions you might have in regards to your child’s academic performance or college information ◦ Support your child in activities that further prepare him/her for college selection (i. e. : participation in college tours, being active in school or community activities, taking required standardized tests for college entrance, etc. ) ◦ Participate in AVID Parent meetings
