ROEHL TRANSPORT Inspection Improvement – move to paperless • Previously technicians inspected with clip-board and paper • Noted any deficiencies • Technician went into the facility • Entered the results into our maintenance system • Returned to the inspection area • Inspected the next truck We moved the process to tablets
ROEHL TRANSPORT Features • • • Process can be completed on any device (tablet, phone, PC). Tablets only work on Roehl Wi-Fi – tablets will not connect to other websites without a security code. Eliminated the use of the AS 400 for inspections. Technicians can inspect as they go by carrying a tablet with them during the inspection. Technicians are aware of any outstanding backlog items prior to starting the inspection saving time. System does not require an inspection if one has been completed within a specific time period. • This eliminates unnecessary wait time for local drivers. Tablets are interchangeable between technicians. • Each inspection is assigned to a technician based on the technician’s ID. Inspections can be done on a truck, trailer, or both – inspection items are eliminated based on choices. Each tablet comes with a rugged cover and screen as well as a retractable belt hook for ease of carrying around the truck/trailer. Technicians use their fingers to tap the screen. • No stylus needed.

ROEHL TRANSPORT How it works • In some cases, depending on where the technician is located, technicians are required to choose where they want to send the truck/trailer for repair when there is a failure. This determines which shops see the fail items in the Backlog system:
ROEHL TRANSPORT Fuel Island Inspection Improvement: • Reduced time per inspection by about 2 minutes. • • • Reduced wait time for drivers in the fuel island waiting for inspections. Integrated 2 of the maintenance systems into the tablet inspection (Breakdown and AS 400) that previously required manual intervention. • • • Last week, at the Conley terminal, we saved about 11. 2 hours. This reduced time spent creating backlogs and work orders. Eliminated manual reporting by creating system generated report using the new fuel inspection data. Improved missed inspections on the fuel islands. 10
