FLAMMAP FLAMMAP Analysis and mapping of wildfire behaviour
FLAMMAP
FLAMMAP Ø Analysis and mapping of wildfire behaviour for each pixel of the landscape under temporaly constant meteorological and fuel moisture conditions. Ø It requires the same spatial inputs than Farsite and includes the same fire behaviour models.
FLAMMAP Step 1. Load the “landscape” file, previously created with Farsite or directly from Flammap

FLAMMAP Step 2. Define meteorological conditions and fuel moisture for simulations. It is possible to include the results of wind fields generated by Wind. Ninja.
FLAMMAP Step 3. Basic fire behaviour. Static simulation obtaining as outputs fire behaviour values for each pixel of the landscape.

FLAMMAP Results can be saved in raster or vector format.
FLAMMAP Step 4. Determination of the Major Fire Paths and Minimum Travel Time. Generally, this is obtained locating ignition lines perpendicular to the domain wind direction.
FLAMMAP
FLAMMAP Step 5. Burn probability. Multiple ignitions are simulated through the landscape and the model determines pixels with greater probability of being affected by a fire.
