Five Tips for Tradeshow Success Whether it is your first time exhibiting or you

Five Tips for Tradeshow Success Whether it is your first time exhibiting or you are a tradeshow veteran, there are some key things to consider that can make or break your success. These five tips, with learnings from Prosper, will provide you with ideas and tips to help you optimize your exhibiting experience. 1. Design: Make Your Booth Design Work for You First impressions DO matter and nowhere is that truer than on a tradeshow floor. Your booth design needs to represent your company’s business in more than just brand. Ask yourself, does this booth answer the most important questions of Who, What and Why? If an attendee cannot determine in under 20 seconds what your company does, then revisit your booth’s design and make sure that message is front and center to help you stand out from the competition and draw attendees into your space. 2. Reach: Extend Your Brand Outside of Your Booth There are several ways to attract customers to your booth space and one of the easiest is to purchase branding or sponsorship opportunities. Catch the attention of your audience before they even reach your booth with digital advertising, print advertising, banners in public spaces or experiential sponsorships offering attendee amenities. Your business will be at the forefront of their mind when the time comes to visit the exhibit hall. 3. Market: Connect with Customers Before and After the Event Purchasing a space and designing a booth is only the first step in preparing for a tradeshow. Marketing the event and your business before, during and after is key to ensuring strong ROI. Let your customers know that you are participating in Prosper offers an invite a customer program that will allow you to extend discounts for the conference to your customers. Utilizing that program to invite your contacts to one of the most important gatherings of e-commerce professionals will help you solidify relationships with current customers and build loyalty with your prospective customers. Prosper also offers Prosper Connect, which allows you to set up meetings with interested attendees directly through the system. Consider purchasing a lead retrieval system to make following up with leads faster and easier. Research shows the sooner exhibitors follow up, the more likely they are to gain a new customer. 4. Connect: Make it Interactive and Memorable Standing out in a crowd is always a challenge. Rise up to it by first preparing your staff for working a tradeshow. Attendees at Prosper are looking for vendors to become partners in their business. Be engaged and friendly. Consider ideas for making a visit to your booth 5. Measure: Determine How You Will Measure ROI The most important key to tradeshow success is knowing your goals, and how to measure them, before you arrive on site. Step one, define your goals for exhibiting. Goals can include lead generation, brand awareness or new customers and sales. Step two, make sure you properly label all leads generated at the event so you can track them in the future. Step three, determine your timeframe for measuring based on your sales cycle. It can take several months, even a year, to close a sale from a new lead generated at a tradeshow. Finally, make sure you take what you learn and optimize it to ensure you are even more successful at your next Prosper! March 23 -25, 2020 | Westgate Las Vegas Resort
