Health and Wellness �Health – Is the state of well-being in which all of the aspects of health are in balance. �Wellness – Actively making choices and decisions that promote good health. �To be truly healthy, you must take care of all 5 aspects.

Physical �Physical health refers to the way your body functions. This includes: �Eating Right �Getting regular exercise �Getting 8 -10 hours of sleep �Being at your recommended body weight �Good hygiene and grooming habits �Avoiding drugs & alcohol �Being free of disease or sickness
Social �Social health is the quality of your relationships with friends, family, teachers, and others you are in contact with. �Communication �Making and keeping friends
Emotional �Emotional health is expressing your emotions in a positive, nondestructive way. �Knowing and understanding one’s own feelings
Spiritual �Spiritual health is having spiritual direction and purpose. This includes living according to one's ethics, morals, values, and sticking to one’s beliefs. �Volunteer/Service work �Goal Setting �Morals + Values = Ethics which help guide you in decision making.
Mental �Mental health is the ability to recognize reality and cope with the demands of daily life. �Liking and accepting yourself � Stress (How you deal with it) �Decision Making �Problem Solving �THINKING!
