SCIENTIFIC METHOD The scientific method is the step by step procedure in solving problems. The steps are : a. Statement of the problem b. Hypothesis c. Experimental Procedure d. Conclusion
PROBLEM What will happen to candles when covered by a glass jar?
Hypothesis – intelligent guess, may be the answer to the problem 1. The light of the candle will be off. 2. The light of the candle will continue to burn.
Experimental Procedure (how to do it, how to answer. . ) 1. Get a candle. 2. Light it up. 3. Cover it with a glass jar. 4. Observe what happens.
CONCLUSION. ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM 1. Based on the experiment, I therefore conclude that lights turned off because of the absence of air or oxygen.
