Registration and Week One! 26 th September 2012

Registration On the 12 th Of September we came in to register and receive our student cards. Before we registered we were introduced to the head of the school, along with the SU staff and the head of the sports department. They briefly explained the services available within the college and strongly encouraged us to join as many clubs and societies as possible. We were broken up into groups of fifteen and given a tour of the campus by a pair of fourth year students. They brought us all around the campus and gave us some helpful tips e. g. how to use the printers and the copiers, where the school offices were located and they explained to use that there is phones in the hallways where we could get in contact with the lecturers if we had any problems. After the tour we received our student cards and we were free to go. 26 th September 2012

Day One Our first day was the 17 th of September. We received a brief talk from a former student called Jess, she talked about her years in ITT and she showed us projects from previous students to give us an idea of what we would be doing in the future. She also explained that we should really focus on the IT and Mac classes because the skills we learn will be vital when we go to get a job in the future. Later on in the day we attended our afternoon classes where the lecturer gave us a brief description of the modules and how we would be graded. 26 th September 2012

Day Two Again we were just given a brief description of the modules from the lecturers. We had our first introduction to advertising class. We received a hand outlining what we would be doing throughout the year and what projects we would be given. We had our first Apple Mac class, because the class is so large we were broken up into three groups. We were briefly shown how to use the computers, and the lecturer helped some of the students set up their Moodle accounts. We were given our first assignment. We had to make a short video of ourselves answering three short questions. The questions were: Give some information about yourself, name, age and where you live. What social media sites do you use other than face book? What is your favourite brand why? 26 th September 2012

Day Three Today we had our first IT class It was a short class, we were shown how to use power point. We were given information about Greenwich University which we had to put into a power point presentation before the end of class and upload it to moodle. Later on in the day we had our first Media class where we watched the movie Pleasantville, along with a clip from the movie Jezebel. 26 th September 2012

Day Four We had our first EU Studies class where we were received a brief overview of the module. 26 th September 2012

Day Five Today we had our first Introduction to Marketing class. Again like all our other classes we just received a brief introduction to the module. The 4 Ps of marketing was explained to us as well as the macro and micro environment. 26 th September 2012

Week Two! 26 th September 2012

Week Two This whole week is just a blur! A group of us headed to the Metro on Monday for some drinks we got free t shirts and way too many drinks!! On Thursday we headed to the Metro to celebrate Arthurs Day. A group of us headed down at 1 o clock and left at around 7 after consuming A LOT of vodka and Bulmers!! 26 th September 2012
