WHAT? This article describe the First Peoples Principles of Learning. learning support the self, the family, the community, the land , the spirits, and the ancestors. Learning recognizes the role of indigenous knowledge. Learning need patience and time and include memory, history, and story. Learning need to know the knowledge is sacred and only can share in some situation.

SO WHAT? I always learn something from our ancestors. For example medical knowledge. Medical knowledge is helpful for people’s health. In my family, my uncle and aunts knows many knowledge about medical and teach me a lot. You must first have a deep understanding of the FPPL, and then you can use this understanding to guide educators about the important content of learning and the choices among learners to create some kind of learning experience for them and with them.

Creating teaching and learning environments that reflect the FPPL has as much to do with an educator ’s philosophy about education, and disposition, as it has to do with curricular content.
