The Everett Company – External Evaluation n The Everett Company will evaluate the FNL programs over the next four years The Everett Company will help build an alumni resource for WSGC Steve Everett will contact advisors, mentors, and/or students to conduct interviews n n n 3 Meetings may occur virtually, in-person, or a combination of both Meetings may occur during the weekday or over the launch weekend throughout the next few months Please respond to Steve Everett email accordingly
WSGC Competition Launch Checklist n Recently sent out a WSCG Competition Launch Checklist n n Will discuss checklist in the following slides n n 4 Please use this as a guide in preparing for your launch day Contains WSGC safety requirements Contains NAR / TRA requirements Items may have already been completed, just check them off on the list Teams are required to submit the completed checklist post-launch

Virtual Safety Inspections n Planning for Virtual Safety Inspections is happening now n n n Virtual Safety Inspection will involve: n n 7 Inspections take place April 7 - 8 or April 14 -15 (prior to your launch weekend) If not already scheduled, please email Frank Nobile (maxq 3@aol. com) to find a time that works A Zoom meeting where students show the status of the construction of the rocket to date; The construction of the rocket must be sound – fillets, bulkheads, rail buttons, recovery hardware and attachments, fitment, will be examined; WSGC Technical Advisor Frank Nobile will score and then approve the rockets for flight (or make suggestions for corrections) Ensure you also send Frank Nobile a recent Rock. Sim file prior to inspection
Competition Launch Day Expectations n There a few WSGC items to observe on Launch Day (see checklist) n n WSGC requires that excess motors / casings be donated to the club that is conducting the launches (for safety reasons) n n Aaron Ashley – NAU and UW Mark Abotossaway – FLC, CPP and UCD Teams are scored during the launch day (setup, launch, recovery) WSGC Independent Contractors attending the launches n n 8 Return a photo of the donated supplies WSGC Individuals will be attending the launches to assist and observe n n Pre-launch photo, photo of local club launch card Video/photos throughout the day for WSGC media purposes, post launch photo Observe standard club RSO inspections Steve Everett – as scheduled w/teams Justin Jackola, JJack Productions – film at FAR, UC Davis and Cal. Poly
Post Launch Day Expectations n Teams are expected to submit (by May 10 th): n n n n 9 Completed WSGC Competition Launch Checklist Pre-Launch Photo RSO Launch Card Photo Post-Launch Photo Motor Casing/Motor Return Photo Launch Day Photos and Flight Video Email these items to Connie Engberg (cengberg@carthage. edu)
Post Launch Day Expectations n Teams are also expected to submit: n n n Post Launch Assessment Report (PLAR) n n n 10 Flight Data Flight Video Due May 10 th Summary of vehicle performance, challenge performance and comparison to predictions – share lessons learned Include a processed analysis of the flight data
