• Animal Skins A • The most common animal hides used for clothing were muskrat, beaver, and deerskin. • Before they could use the animal hides for clothing, the women had to go through a lengthy process to prepare and tan the hides. By Plateau region
B • BIRCHBARK BASKETS • This is made of Birch Bark sewn together with spruce roots; sealed to make watertight containers; used to store wild rice, dried berries and other foods; decorated with paints and porcupine quills • By PLAINS
