Being on a NICE Guideline Committee Good things: • The Chair did a great job making sure everyone was heard. • Most of the documents were Easy Read, both for people with learning disabilities and people who do not, and it felt good to all be treated the same and given the same document. • The food was great! • It was good to meet the other committee members – they were all really nice. Some less good things : • The hearing loop was not working • We only received the paperwork a few days before the meeting, which meant we couldn’t read it all before the meeting. • There was one document where there was both an easy read version and a non easy read version, and the difference caused some confusion. • It got a bit hot in the room.
