MY PITCH For my FMP, I have decided to create a fashion magazine. I have opted for this idea because I believe it is a good way of reflecting the skills I have learnt over the duration of the course through a medium and topic I have a true interest for. The magazine I am hoping to produce will showcase the world of fashion throughout a handful of articles and visuals. I have created a variety of plans including possible layouts and content ideas; these plans will be displayed throughout the Power. Point along with research and other ideas.

TARGET AUDIENCE My target audience is young adults from around 17 -25. My main target gender is directed mainly towards women and older girls however the magazine will be suitable for the opposite gender in the same way professional magazines do. I think the main way I will capture my audience in my magazine will be to write in a way which is easily relatable but still informative. For example, if I were to write a piece on highstreet trends I would ensure that I am not using masses of fashion terminology so that it relates to the topic I am discussing. Although I am creating a fashion magazine I am hoping to approach it with my own spin – I want to write in a friendly yet informative style that is easily relatable to my audience. Given the idea that I am writing mainly around highstreet fashion I am aiming to write in a style which is relatable to people who shop primarily on the highstreet.

MY HYPOTHESIS Will explore how the catwalk is transferred onto the highstreet. To begin

MY HYPOTHESIS Will explore how the catwalk is transferred onto the highstreet. To begin I had several hypothesis ideas, each one will be displayed below; How does highstreet fashion coincide with the catwalk? Will explore an interesting medium that is flexible and can be explored in a huge sum of mediums. Will explore the price gap and why the catwalk is so pricey. How does the catwalk make so much money? Interesting medium that will highlight how the catwalk makes so much money. Explore why people pay so much money for catwalk fashion.

CHOSEN HYPOTHESIS The hypothesis I have chosen to explore is How does highstreet fashion coincide with the catwalk? . I have chosen this hypothesis because I think it is easy to explore and expand on; I am hoping by using this hypothesis I can expand on a selection of ideas which are explored in the previous slide.

RESEARCH I am going to conduct my research in a selection of mediums; through

RESEARCH I am going to conduct my research in a selection of mediums; through primary and secondary sources. The first way I will carry out my research is by looking into several magazines and comparing them, this will allow me to outline obvious differences in varied publications. Another way I plan to conduct research is through interviews with several people for specific articles in my magazine. I also plan to conduct a survey on Survey. Monkey in order to get a clear insight into my audiences perspective, this will mean I am able to understand my audience more and incorporate this understanding into my language and style within the publication.
